Who We Are

We aren't yet another lettings agency.

We aren't a property maintenance

service.

We aren't a tenant management company.

We're a helpline for you and your guests. And we are, as far as we can tell, the only ones of our kind.

This business was born of our frustration and the shared frustration of so many families like ours that live in large and small cities around the world. We live far away from our families. We live in small, tiny family units. And we only meet family and friends and relatives for a few days at a time, maybe once every few years.

And yet, when they do come over, it's always a hassle. There's furniture to think of (can your 70-year-old grandma sleep on your creaky old sofa bed?), furnishings to quickly arrange (those old sheets we washed the last time Andy slept over — where are they now?) and decor to plan (it would've been nice to have picture frames filled with prints from grandma's last visit with the baby, but it's so tedious to go trawl through your laptop for those pictures, arrange for prints, and then find picture frames that work with your decor).

There's also a hundred tiny hassles for your guest that we can preempt on their behalf for you, and on your behalf for them. Maybe it's simple things, like how to communicate your long, 24-digit, alphanumeric wifi password when their flight lands at 10 am and they get home when you're at work. Or maybe they're allergic to almonds, but only to peeled almonds. Or maybe, just maybe, they prefer to be left alone until they drink their morning coffee (which they want with full-fat milk but you only ever order skim).

Or possibly, you're struggling to think of cool ideas for you to do together (board games, sure, but everyone remembers what happened the last time you lost at Pictionary and now we don't talk about that any more) or for them to do by themselves (only so many times one can do that skip-on-jump-off bus tour of the city, even for Dad who's a history geek).

So give us a call. Amantranam is Sanskrit for "invitation" — for when you want to really, truly enjoy your folks coming over, whether for a few days or for a few months. Get them to stay, relax, put their feet up.
